EMpact Studio Co-Founder and CEO, Sami Lahoud, shares his perspectives on a fantastic “Unlocking Innovation Mastermind” gathering of top talents at academic partner, International University of Grand Bassam.
Sami says…
Nothing beats spending time with young women and men who dream of a better world and look to us as people who can enable these dreams, and we’ll do our best to do just that!
What a great day at our academic partner International University of Grand-Bassam with our EMpact partners Abitaile Fofana of Foro Côte d’Ivoire and Thibault Guille of Bioani, talking to students about joining our venture studio to become founders of startups that will replicate the services of both these amazing companies across Côte d’Ivoire and beyond.
The model will provide farmers with everything they need, when and where they need it, in order to improve their yield (both quality and quantity), start the transformation journey to regenerative agriculture, and get access to finance and insurance.
Best of all, the creation of these local startups by local founders will bring villages back to life, transition farming to future generations, and bring innovation/technology to the last mile of agricultural activity. This is right at the nexus of People & Planet, where food security doesn’t come at the expense of climate, while creating jobs for the African youth, and improving farmer livelihood.
